Work still to do

in the words of his inaugural
the words of resolve
an echo of Joshua
of work still to do
perhaps bolder
grander than his last
touching on our aspirations
that none would be lost
each initiative, each desire
to lift up our neighbor
to answer an innate call
to bind up our brothers
our sisters, the others
those who share this walk
in this nation we love
