Dying crocuses
white, melting
glorious in their fading
drying, as parchment
becoming transparent
in the mid-day sun
Like rice paper blossoms
or ones of thin crepe paper
wet so as to be transparent
see-through, open
dying ever so graciously
at the foot of the cross
