A hum on the wind
a whisper of memory
the wail of the martyrs
if this is really the end
if this is truly over
The madman bloodied
hiding in his hometown
willing for more to die
to hold the illusion of power
freedom for himself
avoiding the dock of judgment
dying in a hail of fire
his body torn asunder
the wail of the martyrs
decades of oppression
soon will rise together
singing of this day
