how small my faith is – v2

how to frame this
in comparison to that scripture
the true depth of my faith
a grain of sand maybe
something seemingly inert
not living, hardly a seed
not like a mustard seed at least

a promise within the kernel
a piece of faith planted
ready to grow if we will feed it
water it with the word
how small my faith is
when I do not move
when I fail to believe

to will the mountains to move
bowing at our feet
yet the stumbling blocks growing
into mountains mighty
to defeat my faith, my belief,
when faith of a mustard seed
would break them apart
