not punishment but
reconciliation
self-emptying,
servanthood,
giving ourselves
completely
this is the cross, not
retribution,
a gift, a giving, a
willingness
to commit ourselves to
God
to give up our false control
to admit our weakness
our inability to live
righteous
to fall down on our knees
and cry out to Jesus
Lord, come now, please
come and save us
