threadbare,
perhaps,
but still
remaining
strands of
evil
within the
new body
part of the
old fabric
of the
flesh, of sin
not cut
from the cloth
woven
within
my body, my
life
as much as
I want to
be rid of
my past
the choices
remaining
consequences
that last
that remind
me, forgiven,
but a
millstone we carry
part of the
old fabric
that we
still wear within us
threadbare,
perhaps,
but still
remaining
