He still calls me friend

No matter my flaws

the sins I have committed

Jesus loves me enough

to climb the cross

He still calls me friend

not merely servant

I choose to be a slave

of God’s kingdom

Jesus loves me completely

his love unconditional

He climbed the cross

while I yet sin

He calls me friend

just as he did Peter

I may fail Him

but he loves me completely

I just want to serve Him

My Lord and my God.
