The words of the pastor
in evoking love
in calling God our first
the lover of our souls
Do you understand
why she would say this
that God loved us
sinners like you and me
That God loved us
long before we knew
from before we were created
in the womb, in this world
Spiritual beings
stuff of heaven above
wrapped in living clay
walking here below
He is our first love
the lover of our souls
wanting to dance with us
wanting us to be whole
