thankful
for the morning
for the
sound of their singing
for the
smile of my wife
breathing I
love you
over the
din
waking, the
morning
school soon
to begin
thankful
for breath
God’s gift
of life
thankful
for grace
for the
cross, the grave
Christ here
with us
the Spirit
within
thankful
for the words
which I can
share
for plants,
for animals
for birds
of the air
thankful
for life
the day to
come

how Christ
