Why am I so quick to anger
so slow to forgive
holding something again my
brother
as if I need this to live
Something we never remember
in that moment of anger
when someone does us wrong
no matter how slight or
great
Forgetting, or failing to
remember,
the way of our Savior
our Creator come to earth
to walk these streets of
dust
On the cross, in shame and
ridicule,
as He was dying for us
even then He forgave
while we are yet bound to
sin
Needing to remember
if He could forgive even
then
how we should be merciful,
generous
when our neighbor commits a
sin
Why am I so quick to anger
so slow to forgive
holding something again my
brother
as if I need this to live

“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to
you,

Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
