A verb became a body
the Creator of all
Love became flesh
On that day
Jesus coming
Love emptied himself
and dwelt among us
Love emptied himself
becoming as we are
Love left heaven
to walk the earth
to be humble
to be made of clay
to be like one of us
God descended
from the throne
to the stable
Love was with us
in the baby Jesus
Love emptied himself
and dwelt among us
