threadbare,
perhaps,
but still
remaining
strands of
evil
scars of
memory
within the
new body
part of the
old fabric
of the
flesh, of sin
not cut
from the cloth
woven
within, intertwined
as the
wheat and tares
growing in
the garden together
my body, my
life
as much as
I want to
to be rid
of my past
the choices
remaining
consequences
that last
that remind
me, forgiven;
but a
millstone we carry
part of the
old fabric
that we
still wear within us
threadbare,
perhaps,
but remaining
still
