I am in distress – v3

I am in distress
my enemies have gathered;
My strength have vanished
like a receding tide

I am in trouble
I am alone, I am empty;
You alone are my comfort
I need You by my side

I trust in You
for You are my protector;
I have faith in You
that You will never leave me

I am not alone
You are always with me;
I can walk boldly
into the storm

Psalm 22:9-15
devotion for October 7, 2015

(I disagree with the premise what the lament is;
God has not failed to live up to His promise.)
