Every moment of our lives is a choice,
There is a spiritual battle within us
the flesh, our sin, our desires,
anything that becomes an idol,
tries to take the place of God…

We fight a spiritual battle of honesty,
staring in our own mirror,
taking account of our sin,
every choice, every action,
that separates us from God…

We must be transparent, open,
our sin and its legacy, facing
the consequence of our choices…
Whenever we listen to the Devil,
when we give in to the flesh…

We must die to self, to our sin,
weeping bitterly, repenting…
We must turn back to God…
humbly accepting unmerited grace,
seeking to follow Christ…
