I am broken, full of sin,
but You know that already,
oh Lord, my God,
have mercy on this sinner...
 
I repent of the stain,
crimson of my sin,
I am washed in the blood,
of my risen Lord, Jesus...
 
I am broken, full of sin,
but I long to serve You fully,
wash me clean of my sin,
redeem me Lord, completely...
 
I repent of the stain,
that You have forgiven,
I carry that burden no longer,
because of Your grace…
 
I am broken, full of sin,
forgive me again, again,
oh Lord, Jesus, my Savior,
reshape my broken flesh…

Cheating on his mistress – v2

Cheating on his mistress,
his son and his son’s mother,
taking what wasn’t his,
because he had that power…
 
Cheating many times,
with so many women,
not fearing conviction,
consequence to his actions…
 
Cheating on his mistress,
revealing his true nature,
the apostacy of his character,
his right based on power…

Taking what wasn’t his,
precious fruit of another,
a desire of the flesh,
with pain, consequence…
 
Taking what wasn’t his,
because he could take it,
giving into his power,
stained with his sin…
 
Taking what wasn’t his,
broken by his choices,
repentant, but too late,
consequences directly…

Scandalous love for us

offered by our God

sending the Messiah

to heal our brokenness

Scandalous love for the unfaithful

like Gomer, each one of us

Love of God – v2

So hard to accept

the analogy, the truth

God’s love for us

like the story of Gomer

the prodigal wife

unrepentant

cheating on him

turning to the world

spitting in his face

the truth in this scripture

we are Gomer

unfaithful to our lover

to our husband, Christ

who came to earth

who sacrificed his life

for us, while we yet sinned

Love of God fall

fall upon us again

change our hearts

turn from the world

into your arms

our only hope

your love for all
