Love of God – v2

So hard to accept

the analogy, the truth

God’s love for us

like the story of Gomer

the prodigal wife

unrepentant

cheating on him

turning to the world

spitting in his face

the truth in this scripture

we are Gomer

unfaithful to our lover

to our husband, Christ

who came to earth

who sacrificed his life

for us, while we yet sinned

Love of God fall

fall upon us again

change our hearts

turn from the world

into your arms

our only hope

your love for all
