Myrrh for His Death

At this birth, in his youth

the sum of his life

in the gifts they lay

at his feet, in homage

gifts for the king, for God,

for the sacrifice

Myrrh for His death

the fulfillment of God’s promise

hope for you and me

in the babe in the manger

growing to be the Man

hanging on the cross

to redeem us to life
