Scandalous Love

Scandalous love for us

offered by our God

sending the Messiah

to heal our brokenness

Scandalous love for the unfaithful

like Gomer, each one of us

sinning before our bridegroom

our walk in this life

needing his healing, his sacrifice

unable to turn from the world

rolling around in our own filth

writhing in agony
