Words call me – v2

Words call me, urgent,
I am their servant,
I turn toward them,
leaning into the message,
their cry to my spirit,
to my hands beginning to write…
 
Words speak to me
they are my muse,
words call me, now,
when I am not ready,
when I pay attention,
driving, walking about…
 
Words call me, suddenly,
they woo, they challenge me,
they cry out in despair,
sometimes they shout for joy,
urgent, passionate, emotive words,
words of power, of light…
 
Words will not wait,
I must stop, I must write,
I must remember, to save them,
for the words can be fleeting,
gossamer pulled from the ether,
to be capture, to be written down…

Words speak to me

A gift to another’s heart – v2

Our creations, art in its own sense,
All our artistic endeavors, our spirits,
all that we pour into our works,
a life force, awakening, rising,
offered, sent out into the world…
 
A gift from our heart, our spirits,
a kernel of life, of creation itself,
sent to land on an unknown shore,
a gift from one heart to another,
to heal, to give hope, to restore…
 
All that we pour out, an offering,
a piece of infinite space, of life,
treasure planted into the ether,
in time finding their true home,
on some distant shore…

One heart speaking,
one spirit sharing,
their gifts, their talents,
offering love, hope,

One spirit shining,
so brightly, authentic,
offering love to others,
not knowing who needs to hear,
that which they have been given…
 
One soul rising,
bringing art, creativity,
one heart committed to beauty,
offering something pure, holy,
sharing a gift with the world…

Dancing in the center,
Movement of the petals,
rising higher, swirling,
twirling to the rhythm,
to the emerging life…
 
Can you see their motion,
Spinning, leaping, rising,
in the static image, frozen?
can you hear the music,
rising, moving their spirits...
 
Petals are dancing, captured,
Frozen in their leaping, rising,
in a whirlwind in the center.
so beautiful, alive, emergent,
on the canvas’ vertical plane...

A ballet in the middle – v2

A ballet in the middle,
Dancers at the barre resplendent,
in the center of the blossom,
Petals the dancers’ bodies,
the whole blossom their stage…
 
Dancing in the center,
Beauty in their movement,
rising higher, swirling,
Twirling to the rhythm,
to the emergent life…
 
Can you see their motion,
Kinetic movement, rising,
in the static image, frozen?
Can you hear the music,
rising, welling up in their souls...
 
Petals are dancing, captured,
Dancers at the barre resplendent,
in a whirlwind in the center.
So beautiful, alive, emergent,
on the canvas’ vertical plane...

A ballet in the middle

A ballet in the middle,
in the center of the blossom,
Petals the dancers’ bodies,
the whole blossom the stage…
 
Dancing in the center,
rising higher, swirling,
Twirling to the rhythm,
to the emerging life…
 
Can you see their motion,
in the static image, frozen?
Can you hear the music,
rising, welling up in their bodies...
 
Petals are dancing, captured,
in a whirlwind in the center.
So beautiful, alive, emergent,
on the canvas’ vertical plane...

Dancing in the center

Dancing in the center,
rising higher, swirling,

Can you see their motion,

Can you see their motion,
in the static image?
Can you hear the music,
that moves their bodies...
 
The petals are dancing
in a whirlwind in the center.
So beautiful, so alive,
on the canvas plane...

Seeds placed precisely – v2

Not leaving anything to chance,
contours of their surface,
like the rising and falling of earth,
each strawberry covered, bedazzled,
an intricate pattern, repeating,
rows on a topographical map,
seeds placed precisely, discretely,
consciousness, painstaking effort,
perfect precision, a design,
a singular purpose, individuals,
like a fingerprint, unique,
an intricate pattern, repeating,
leaving nothing to chance…

Held in two dimensions no longer – v3

 
Created more as she is, alive, appearing resplendent,
Escaping a vertical prison, the beautiful painting,
A Sea Angel, a sculpture, releasing, emerging,
Held by two dimensions no longer, freed,
Bursting through the screen, the curtain,
As a stage actor speaking to the audience,
No longer held by this divide, that distance,
Not merely standing, posing only, now reaching,
Now striving forward, outward, upward,
Crossing another plane of existence,
To come more fully alive…
 
A Sea Angel, a merwoman, self-awareness, conscious
Her face obscured, hidden, not drawing attention,
Her supple body emerging, rising, transcendent,
Her wings pulling outward, thrusting upward,
Her body pushing through the flatness, texture,
Yearning to live like Pinocchio, a human goddess,
To dance on this mortal coil, movement beyond,
Outside of two dimensions, her prison, her cocoon,
Her womb, gaining that third dimension, life,
Crossing another plane of existence,
To come more fully alive…
