Captive Roses – v2

beautiful, long stemmed,

roses of that gift

perfect blooms, captive blooms

in the vases, gifts of love

from her, from me, from them

given in love, captured on

a digital screen, the memory card,

the ether emulsion

of this new age

not on film anymore

images of beauty,

pictures, photographs

preserved in the camera

to be shared, remembered

into the future, forever,

long after the bud fades
