A decade since the towers – v2

Ten years of war, and counting
far too many years, lives lost,
so much pain, so many years,
of terror, lost innocence
the pain of our nation

Soldiers in the field
The nation weary
wanting our heroes home
Tired of the fighting
dividing our resolve

The price of freedom heavy
upon our thoughts today
the cost of freedom, the cross, the grave,
Wanting peace to come
to rest in Your arms always
