Lord,
We thank you for this holy
ground,
this place we are gathered
in
We thank you for the vision
of the members who had the
faith
to build this holy space,
a house for your people here
joining together, in this
capital city
Lord, we thank you for your
presence
among us here, for your Holy
Spirit,
and for the grace You
bestowed on us all
through the sacrifice of
your Son, our Savior;
The work we are in the midst
of is holy service
We are embarking on work
to fulfill our connectional
pledge,
to shore up our brothers and
sisters,
to enable more work to be
done in Your name
We will be striving, over
the next weeks,
to prayerfully prepare a
budget,
and vote on a stewardship
and capital campaign
We seek to discern your
divine will
for this congregation, this
piece of your church;
Lord, give all of us, your
servants,
eyes to see and ears to hear
your guidance and you will
in these tasks and in all we
do
as we leave this gathering
in Your holy name we pray
these things.
