Christ gave us Freedom – v2

Our freedoms which we value

life and liberty

seeking our own path

what we want to be

Bound to our nation

believing our common creed

failing to be mindful

that Christ gave us freedom

that Christ made us free

More important than all others

paying a horrible cost

not just in going to the cross

but descending to earth at all

Emptied of His divinity

though He knew

the price He would have to pay

to give us true liberty

to free us from sin and death.
