knowing
nothing about them
what they
have been through
what they
carry in this life
not knowing
anything
about their
real story
their
experiences, their walk
judging on
appearance
what we
think we see
(for our eyes too can deceive)
only on the
outside, the surface
too quick
to judge, to gossip,
to fail to
share God’s mercy
blinded by the
log, the tree,
the plank
in our own eye,
never
having walked
in our
neighbors shoes, their sandals,
never
having carried
the burdens
that they carry
