A widow’s offering
simple, small, a meager few pennies
But, all she had
a sign, a statement, a testament
to her faith
to her hope in God
her belief in God, in the provision
of her daily needs
by the creator, the sustaining
the loving God
of her forefathers, her foremothers
her faith
