Blade of grass
growing so fast
in the summer sun
wanting some fun
waving in the warm breeze
as if wanting to please
a wondrous sight before my eyes
the green growing up to the sky
clover, bursting purple and pink
leading me to spend more ink
to tell this little tale of day
making me want to stop and pray
to thank the Lord for all
even when the grass grows tall
