Be Strong in the Lord
so said the church’s sign
by the roadside, many weeks gone by
What did the drivers think
as they raced by, busy in their lives
Did they think about the scripture
the admonition, the urging
to be resolute, not in ourselves;
not self-made men, women
Be strong in the Lord alone
for he is worthy of our praise
