Waiting, in our hearts, for our king
born in the manger, living in heaven
at the right hand of God
Waiting, in our lives, for our brother
the servant, the sacrifice
dying on the cross, rising to glory
Waiting, in our faith, for our savior
to return in triumph, at the trumpet’s call
to be ready, awake, on watch,
being Christ to the world
in the waiting, doing his work
