Like them, a journey, each of us,
in our own time, our own ways
a journey to find Christ
walking as the Magi, the wise men,
following His star, being faithful,
waiting, expectant of the remembrance
the birthing of his life, down in a manger bed
Expectant too, the return of our king
trying, hopeful, to be awake, to be ready
anticipating the annual memory of the babe
the daily living out, our oil ready,
awake, on watch
our journey of life, of faith
preparing for our king
