Since the very beginning
one eternal purpose
the goal of God, the creator
reconciliation, communion
relationship with a people
covenant, love
By works alone, by the law
we failed, our nature;
unable to seal the breach.
By the water, by the Spirit
by his precious blood alone
sacrifice, atonement, reconciled
by the grace of God alone
through the word made flesh
the risen, living Christ
there before the beginning
eternal, one with God
our hope is in Him.
