The humble carpenter
not riding in a chariot
walking, dust on his feet
journeying with the Lord
Rejecting the king
those in power
unwilling, unable to see
the Messiah here in their midst
Yet death not the end
fulfilling all foretold
rising from the grave
in final victory
The stone that was rejected
on him, the rock
the foundation
all our hopes restored
