The new earth descending
like a carpet unrolling
flowing down like God’s robe
filling the temple of old
the whole world
the ladder of heaven
becoming one with the earth
A new garden created
a new Eden restored
fusing earth and heaven
made one in his victory
the holy city, the new Jerusalem
descending from heaven
God and man living as one
