Trusting in the World

Spending eternity in the fire
the choice we are free to make
to turn from our Lord
and trusting in the world instead

Turning our back on our neighbors
those around us in need
seeking only earthly rewards
not the servant’s path

Ours the choice to make
to follow the world or God
to walk in the way of Christ
or the way that leads to Sheol
