At the well of living water

She stood before Jesus
offering him a drink
the thirst of the Lord quenched
but offering her far more
at the well of living water
water flowing
offered to her, heaven
if she would accept him
seeing beyond
the physical, the common
the Lord before her
offering her himself
the offering of eternity
of the living water
if she would accept it
she would have life
