God’s plan, his promise
perfectly fulfilled,
the Son, the Messiah
becoming the Lamb of God
submitting to suffer
drinking the cup
in the garden that night
giving his all to God
offering his body
taking on our shame
that we would be cleaned
healed of our brokenness
dying, that we may live.
