I will establish his kingdom

The promise in the word of God
the fulfillment in the Son
the words offered to David
God’s anointed one
pulled from the pasture
the least of Jesse’s sons
called to greatness
God’s chosen one
Come alive again
God’s promise fulfilled
in the son of Joseph
the shoot of his line
his kingdom established
before the beginning of time
fulfilled for God’s purpose
in the coming of Christ
God’s Son giving
a sacrifice of light
