Beginning in Darkness

Nothingness, the waters
chaos, the void
creating beginning
in darkness, beginning
in a moment of light
the beginning of time
before all else
separating the darkness
the day from the night
light and shadows
all beginning in darkness
until God spoke light
into the darkness
the creation by his word
speaking creation
light for the world
