- His mercies are new each day
- We receive a new beginning...a new life...when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior
- God has been in the business of "making new beginnings" for His people...especially seen in the OT
- God gives us a new heart in Christ
- We are a new creation
- Etc.
May our New Year be filled with:
- a new revelation of who Christ is to us
- a new revelation of God’s love for us
- a new set of ears so we may hear Gods guidance
- a new set of eyes so that we can see God at work in our lives as well as in the lives of others
- and a new heart that is pliable, moldable and willing to be changed by the Potter's hand
As we begin this New Year it is only fitting to start at the beginning. . . where our relationship with God begins. . . with the discipline. . . no the honor of taking things to our God in prayer. So for the net few weeks we are going to be looking at prayer. . . or should I say meditating on what prayer is. . . May we renew our minds and relationship with God as we do so.
Let us pray...
Loving ad gracious God. . . thank you for the love that you showed all humanity when you sent your Son to live among us, teaching, loving, showing by example. . . and finally dying for us. Lord as we talk and think about prayer may your Spirit fall down upon us and may we draw even closer to you. Thank you for inviting us into your throne room of grace through the blood of the lamb. . . the life of the babe in the manger. . . our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. . .
Happy New year to all. May we live the "Advent”urous life that God intended us to live before we were even formed in our mother’s womb!
