asked to take up our cross

(to wear the yoke)

We are each called by Christ
the Spirit calling to us
each of anointed for a purpose
to do God’s work on earth

Yet none of us is special
we are not mini-Christ’s
each of us is called to take up our cross
to wear the yoke with him

We are to suffer in God’s name
standing with Christ in the breach
each of us called to use our gifts
to bring God’s kingdom to earth
