It is as much our sin as theirs
for which Christ went to the cross
as much a prayer prayed over us
We are the them whom he prayed for
hanging in pain, dying
that God would forgive our sin
and bring us back to him
for we truly cannot know what we do
we do know the rift we cause
the consequence of our sin
we need the grace of God
as much as any other “them”
