A psalm of Wisdom, of Peace

God is my good counsel, I fear not the trials.
He enables me to seek comfort in the law,
he leads me through my struggles,
he refreshes my faith in the legal system.
He guides me in the ways of our law
for the sake of the greater purposes, the social contract.
Even when I journey through the darkest trial
I will fear no one, no injustice,
for my good counsel is with me;
your research and your strong arguments
they give me protection in the courts.
You prepare a strong case before me
in the presence of my harshest critics.
You brief me for the witness stand;
I am well prepared for cross-examination.
Surely your loyal service and advocacy will follow me
beyond the term of this one matter,
and I will live within the arms of the good counsel forever.
