within the scent of lilacs
God’s spring in the air
We gather to celebrate
your day, the turning page
the journey you have entered
far before old age
We pray together
for love and joy abounding
for years and years unending
life in its fullness abundant
The love of Christ pouring
your head, your life anointed
with the precious oil of God’s love
your hope overflowing
