God is the Good Counsel

God is the good counsel, we fear not the trials.
He enables us to seek comfort in the law,
he leads us through our struggles,
he refreshes our faith in justice.
He guides us in the ways of our law
for the sake of the greater purposes, the social contract.
Even when we journey through the darkest trial
We shall fear no one, no injustice,
for our good counsel is with us;
Your research and your strong arguments
they give us protection in the courts.
You prepare a strong case before us
in the presence of our harshest critics.
You brief us for the witness stand;
We are well prepared for cross-examination.
Surely your loyal service and advocacy will follow us
long after this case is over,
and we will live within our good counsel always.
