An
image all too familiar, the scents the same
the
stalks bent, the flowers wilted
my
life more of a mess, unplanned
mix
and match, real chaos
some
of the blooms plowed under
Sometimes
in utter disarray, chaos
the
garden of my life, filled with weeds
new
shoots starting, flowers, haphazard
where
they will, as they were sown
a
cacophony of colors, of scents, together
Colors
garish and soothing, tranquil
at
different moments of my walk
rich
bright colors, dead patches too
some
flowers burning bright
or
others dark and turned, dying
Needing
the hand, the presence
God’s
Spirit guiding my work
pruning
and replanting, grafting
trimming
for a purpose, growing
that
I may bloom anew
Bright
vivid colors, ablaze, alive
a
harvest for the Lord
shared
with others, authentic
all
the beautiful chaos of my garden
that
they too may be restored
