the Voice speaks to me
in the words of this
scripture
words written on my heart
in the Spirit’s whisper
deep within me
to listen to Him
to Christ, my Brother,
my Master, my friend
I hear God’s cry the same
as it was on the mountain
as if I was Peter
hearing the words from
the cloud
God speaking to me
down through the ages
to listen to Christ
to our Savior now
