The Christ, the Son, the Lamb
the Messiah, Immanuel
God descending to the earth
offering His life for us
God drinking from the cup
climbing the cross for us
Remembering his faithfulness
a servant of God
submitting to the Father’s
will
going to the cross
as had been foretold
suffering our punishment
Eating the bread
drinking of the cup
of the new covenant
the blood of the Lamb
cleansing our sin,
pure, unblemished again
