denying the promise
the One foretold
a King for the people
but not fast enough
impatient, not believing
burning our hope
the palms of triumph
Christ’s entry
into the city of David
into Jerusalem, the
Temple;
but the palms soon
forgotten
the change not fast
enough
calling for His
crucifixion, His death
the Christ on the cross
the One foretold
a King for the people
the people of God
