to embrace the quiet
to still our lives
our beings, our bodies
our minds moving
spinning, pushed, pulled
so much coming at us
hard to be silence
that state of being
to still ourselves completely
to listen for God
to hear His voice
in the quiet
not in the chaos, the explosions
but in the quiet
