Starting my days
in the Word, studying
lessons for me, for my heart
words there for me to see
To learn from the past,
from the covenant people,
from the covenant God
and the Son, the Gospel
Good News
Left there, ready,
for the discerning
when we take the time
and read the ancient words,
filter through
The hidden meanings,
the parables, the stories
with so much there
eternal life
