With fireworks, parades,
with speeches
we honor them, each year.
Remembering them, for what
they gave
their lives for freedom
so that we would remain free.
That the dream that is
America
would remain strong.
We stop and bow in prayer
for their lives lost,
injured,
so that we may live free.
